BOOM! House GOP Unveils Israel Aid Bill That Would Cut Funding To IRS

(Patriot Insider) – With Israel being brutally attacked by Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas last month and the resulting conflict between the two parties ramping up once again, the House Republican Conference has come up with a new piece of legislation that would provide some much needed military aid for our Jewish allies in the Middle East. Where they plan to get the money to pay for it is beyond brilliant. The bill would take funds from the Internal Revenue Service to cover the cost of the aid.

If there was ever an agency that deserved to be defunded, it’s the IRS. I’m sure the vast majority of American taxpayers would agree.

As per Arjun Singh of the Daily Caller, back on October 19, President Joe Biden made an address from the Oval Office where he asked the American people to back a proposal calling for $100 billion of military aid to be sent to Ukraine in its war with Russia as well as to Israel in its battle against Hamas. Some of the money would also be allocated for border security and immigration processing. As you might imagine, not a lot of Republicans were in favor of sending additional funding to Ukraine, especially as more and more information has come to light indicating the cash we’re sending isn’t just being used to help them acquire weapons and other equipment in their war, but to prop up their whole economy, thus the House Republican Conference cooked up some legislation of its own.

The new bill being proposed would allocate $14.3 billion in military aid for the Jewish nation and would use some of the $80 billion that has been set aside for the IRS in the Inflation Reduction Act. Again, that is pure genius.

“The bill, known as the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, calls for the spending of money to procure weapons, ammunition and missiles, according to its text. It also allocates $1.2 billion to support Israel’s efforts to develop a laser-based missile defense system against rocket attacks from Hamas in Gaza, known as the ‘Iron Beam’ program, which is also a priority that the administration’s proposed legislation would fund,” the report said.

“The bill was reportedly introduced by Republican Rep. Kay Granger of Texas’ 12th District, the chair of the House Appropriations Committee, according to the New York Post. A similar bill was introduced in the Senate by Republican Sens. Roger Marshall of Kansas and J.D. Vance of Ohio,” Singh wrote. “The bill would also allocate $100 million to increase security for U.S. diplomatic missions in Israel and the surrounding region that have faced threats following the United States’ declaration of support for Israel after the attacks. It would further allocate $5o million to evacuate U.S. citizens from the country during hostilities.”

There is little doubt Democrats are going to be opposed to the idea of taking money away from their beloved IRS. After all, it’s the agency that shoves its hands into the pockets and bank accounts of the American people and strips them of their hard earned cash. However, seeing as how the funding will no doubt be used to financially oppress citizens, I’m all for seeing it applied to something useful, such as helping our greatest ally in a region of the world where it is popular to hate the U.S.
