Democratic Mayor Admits To Committing Crime

(Patriot Insider) – Democrats can’t win elections fairly. They know this and that’s why they have spent so much time and effort ensuring they can rig the system and cheat in plain sight.

The first black woman elected to be mayor of Rochester, New York, has admitted to breaking election law and, as part of a plea deal, is required to resign by Dec. 1.

Lovely Warren made a plea deal with prosecutors that resolves election law charges against her. She’s also facing pending weapons and child endangerment charges that are unrelated to her position as mayor, as the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle has reported.

The plea deal essentially allowed Warren to escape the charges with a slap on the wrists giving her a misdemeanor conviction for knowingly violating campaign contribution limits in 2017. Had her case went to trial, she could’ve been facing a felony conviction.

Also involved in the election law violations were Albert Jones Jr., Warren’s campaign treasurer, and Rosiland Brooks-Harris, the current city finance director and the treasurer of Warren’s 2017 political action committee. The two co-defendants pleaded guilty to the same charges as Warren.

Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Jacob Ark said Warren will face an attorney grievance committee that will weigh the future of her law license.

On Monday, the disgraced mayor said that the plea deal was in her best interest and “her daughter’s best interest.”

Warren’s previous opponent from the 2017 Democratic primary, Monroe County Legislator Rachel Barnhart, was quick to condemn Warren for her actions, saying, “Our democracy depends on fair elections.”

“Public corruption cannot be tolerated, and we have a lot of work to do at the state and local level to ensure ethical conduct,” Barnhart further asserted.

“Lovely was able to raise well over $100,000 more than she was allowed from these donors because almost all of them had interests before the city,” she said.

“This is an important step in our larger efforts in promoting ethical elections in our state,” Sandra Doorley, the Monroe County district attorney, said in a statement, according to The New York Times.

“The ramifications of the Mayor’s conduct spans beyond the criminal justice system,” the district attorney said.

Despite Warren having to resign in disgrace, she is permitted to take her public employee pension, according to a spokeswoman for the state comptroller’s office.

Just further proof that Democrats will do whatever it takes to “win.”
