(Patriot Insider) – The Pennsylvania senate race is shaping out to be quite the circus, at least on the left side of the aisle.
State Lt. Gov. and Democratic Senate candidate, John Fetterman, is an absolutely abysmal candidate that Democrats in the state have been left with no choice to support thanks to their hatred for Trump and all things conservative.
Fetterman is a radical leftist who just experienced a stroke earlier this year and is still struggling with cognitive recovery. He avoids appearing in public at all costs and in the rare occasion he makes an appearance, he clearly struggles to speak coherently.
The right thing to do would be for Fetterman to step down but he and his campaign are pushing forward and now it seems Fetterman is even worse than originally thought.
Last year, Fetterman cast the lone vote in a failed attempt to free a man convicted of murdering a 17-year-old.
Fetterman attempted to free Alexis Rodriguez who is currently serving a life sentence in Dallas after he was convicted, along with four other suspects, of first-degree murder in the 1989 killing of Sean Daily, a high school junior and son of a Philadelphia police officer.
Rodriguez was 18 at the time he and the others were accused of beating Daily with a baseball bat before shooting him in the back. The incident was considered to be a gang-related, revenge motivated attack.
The murder of Daily sparked racial unrest in Philadelphia as the victim was white and the suspects were majority Hispanic.
Fetterman chairs the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons which held a public hearing for Rodriguez on Dec. 1, 2021. Fetterman was the lone vote in favor of commuting Rodriguez murder sentence in a 3-1 vote.
Thankfully, Rodriguez’ request for commutation was denied thanks to the 3 other people on the board. This revelation has now caused many to question Fetterman’s stance and approach to crime.

Fetterman’s campaign has previously been forced to defend the Democrat’s approach to clemency cases.
“This is a desperate effort to distract from new reporting today proving that Dr. Oz is a medical fraud and malicious scam artist who knowingly hurt regular people to line his own pockets,” spokesman Joe Calvello stated Monday when reached by Fox News Digital, citing a Washington Post report saying Oz and his former TV show promoted potentially dangerous products.
“John’s record on the Board of Pardons has been widely praised by Democrats and Republicans alike,” he continued. “John saved taxpayer money and took a fair-minded approach to every case he considered, voting to deny hundreds of pardon and commutation cases while also siding with law enforcement experts nearly 90% of the time. The commutation in this case was supported by both prosecutors and corrections officers at the time.”
The Fetterman campaign claimed Rodriguez’s release was supported by the state’s Department of Corrections and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office at the time, and that Rodriguez has rehabilitated himself in prison.
This isn’t the only time, however, that Fetterman has been the lone vote in an attempt to commute the sentence of a convicted murderer.
In March of last year, Fetterman was the lone vote to commute the sentence of John David Brookins, who is serving life in prison for the murder of a woman with a pair of scissors.
Fetterman also successfully pushed for the early release of Raymond Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of first-degree and second-degree murder in a 1973 York County slaying.

Fetterman says he wants to eliminate mandatory life sentences for those convicted of second-degree murder, but has not said that applies to first-degree murder.
The Lt. Gov. clearly has a leftist approach to criminal justice which should be concerning to Pennsylvanians and the entire country if he makes it to the US Senate.

I ask why obviously not-fit-to-serve people run for office. Then I watch as democrats elect them. This is way more than astounding. We simply MUST do something to make sure elections are fair. If the midterms end up being a landslide for the blue candidates, it may be that this country is beyond redemption.
