JUST IN: MLB Manager So Busy Being Woke… He Made Mistake Even Little Leaguers Would Laugh At

(Patriot Insider) – Many individuals in the world of professional sports have used their visibility and platforms to voice their political opinions. It’s usually mostly those left-leaning athletes and personnel who feel compelled to “take a stand” which usually involves sitting or kneeling for the national anthem.

On Friday, San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler made it known which of the aisle he’s rooting for when he decided not to take the field for the national anthem because of his political views, according to NBC News.

“I don’t plan on coming out for the anthem going forward until I feel, like … I feel better about the direction of our country,” Kapler said in a video shared on Twitter.

Kapler wrote in a subsequent blog post that he has issues with the gun industries in the US and appeared to be advocating for more gun control.

“We aren’t free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are more important than our children’s freedom to go to school without needing bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills,” Kapler wrote.

Of course, many Americans agree with Kapler and his reasoning and actually believe that if only the federal government would just ban “assault weapons” there would no longer be any more mass shootings.

If only the federal government would shut down the dastardly gun industries, mass shootings would be a thing of the past.

Those of us with the ability to think reasonably and rationally, however, know this logic is completely flawed.

The gun industries should not be blamed for the crimes of deranged, mentally ill criminals.

Kapler chose to sit out on the national anthem on a weekend when we remember and honor the thousands of Americans who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

He snarkily stated he would not be taking the field for the national anthem until the direction of the country changes as if he’s performing some brave service for the US.

Men and women have given their lives so that Kapler can pompously sit in the dugout and disrespect the national anthem. Men and women have died to protect our freedoms, which include the Second Amendment.

Kapler, of course, has the freedom to look like a total and complete jerk. He is not, however, free of the consequences of his choices.

As it turns out, Kapler was so busy woke grandstanding that he dropped the ball on one of the most basic functions of his position.

According to NBC Sports, Giants pitcher Jake McGee was activated from the Injured List earlier on Friday. Kapler intended to utilize him in the game, and he called on him to enter the game in the bottom of the eighth inning.

However, Kapler was too caught up in his political moment to remember to list McGee on the roster card. When Kapler called McGee into the game, the umpires informed Kapler that McGee wasn’t listed and thus could not play.

Instead of focusing on his actual job, Kapler was too busy using his platform to play politics. The Giants ended up losing the game 5-1 against the Cincinnati Reds, the worst team in the league.

NBC Sports described Kapler’s blatant mistake as “an incredibly strange day with one of the oddest moments you will see in a baseball game.”

At least Kapler recognized the buck stops with him.

“We have an extremely detailed and meticulous group,” Kapler said after the game. “We failed to get McGee on the lineup card. And ultimately, that’s my responsibility.”

“So Jake was unable to pitch because he wasn’t on the lineup card. Subsequently, I had to bring [Jose] Alvarez into the game.”

A reporter then asked if Kapler blamed bench coach Kai Correa for the omission but Kapler refused to throw Correa under the bus and instead threw the entire staff under it.

“Everything we do around here … we do this together,” Kapler said. “This is a team effort. Our entire staff is incredibly detailed and pays very close attention. There’s a lot going on today. We just f***** it up.”

Had Kapler not been so focused on political grandstanding, maybe he would have been able to do his job and McGee would have been able to play and maybe they wouldn’t have ended up losing.

We’ll never know. However, we do know that Kapler disrespected both the country and his team on Friday. Thanks to those who have paid the ultimate price for this country, he has the freedom to do so.

    • I agree with comment. This coach needs to stick to base ball, and maybe his team will become better. I am so sick of all these liberals who are leading this great country to socialism/communism.

  1. I agree 100percent maybe these liberal morons should be thankful that they live in the country that puts up with their right to open their mouths and show the world how stupid and ungrateful for all the men and women that gave their lives for America. As far as I’m concerned kapler and the rest of the woke morons should go back to sleep.

  2. Kapler is payed well to so his job, his grand standing was uncalled for and his attitude should not be tolerated by the giants play ball or get fired, turds like him are payed by us. Force his hand

  3. This is a message to all who are luck enough to be able to play a professional sport, leave your personal opinion at home, don’t take them to the ball park, these people are so luck to live in USA, yet they think you and I care what they think.
