(Patriot Insider) – The Trump family has been an iconic part of New York City for decades. Despite the fact that unhinged leftists loathe Donald Trump now, it didn’t always used to be that way.
This past week the Trump family was hit with a major blow when it was discovered Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, had died suddenly in her NYC home.
Her son Eric Trump posted a heartfelt and loving tribute to her on Instagram, saying, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” he wrote.
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren,” he added.
Along with his tribute, Eric Trump added a photo of the family circa the late 80’s decked out to the nines, just as you would expect the Trump family to be:

Of course, Eric Trump’s social media post brought out the worst in mankind and rabid leftists took the opportunity to attack. However, many others were kind and sympathetic and left thoughtful condolences for Eric and the Trump family.

Ivana was the first wife of former President Donald Trump and was the mother of his three eldest children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric. She was a major part of Trump’s success in NYC in the 80’s and 90’s and even after their divorce, they remained close friends.
She was born in the Czech Republic and was an elite athlete during young adulthood. She eventually got into modeling after immigrating to Canada and then the United States.
When she met Donald Trump, she was working in reception in New York City, according to The New York Times. She would eventually become just as iconic and famous as her husband.
Ivana’s daughter, Ivanka, also posted a loving tribute to her mother on Instagram and described herself as “heartbroken” by the passing of her mother.
“Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance,” she wrote and also included a photo of her and her mother when Ivanka was a child.
“I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always,” she added.
President Trump, too, issued words of tribute for his former wife on Truth Social.
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.”
“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!” he added.
Ivana and Donald Trump defined the 80s and 90s in New York City despite how much hate and vitriol there is now towards President Trump. Ivana will always be an icon. May she rest in peace.

Was there no funeral. I was waiting for it to possibly be on TV but not even the cable channels carried it if there was one. I wish the family blessings of peace and good memories.
