PAYBACK — Elon Drops The Hammer On Twitter

(Patriot Insider) – Tons of believers in the First Amendment and the critical and very foundational building block of society we all call freedom of speech, were stoked upon hearing that billionaire Elon Musk — who is a huge proponent of free speech — bought enough stock in Twitter to become the largest stockholder in the company.

After all, this surely means that Musk is going to be instituting some big changes that will favor Twitter to become more openly free speech, right? Folks are tired of having their accounts blocked and censored for daring to share news and opinions that go against the established mainstream media propaganda.

Well, Musk is definitely making moves. According to The Western Journal, the billionaire visionary issued a response to a Twitter post that was published over the weekend, which caused a lot of shock through the company’s workforce.

“Business man Nick Huber posted a recording of a 2015 Investor Talk series interview of billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn. Icahn tells The New York Times’ Andrew Ross Sorkin a story about his 1984 takeover of ACF Industries, a company that manufactured railroad cars,” the report started.

When Icahn first took a gander at ACF, something popped out at him. He noticed that the stock price was cheap relative to all of the assets the company currently owns. He also noticed that these weren’t really making any cash.

“Shortly after striking a deal with ACF, Icahn spent a day at the company’s headquarters in New York where employees occupied twelve floors of office space,” the report said.

At the end of the busy day, he went on to say, “I go home, take a look at my yellow pad. I can’t figure out what the hell they do.”

The report then said that Icahn went to work the following day, but things were not made any clearer. “I’m not an idiot. I can’t figure out what the hell they do.”

He then went on to schedule a meeting with the COO of the company, who was actually based in a different location. Icahn goes on to tell Sorkin, chuckling along the way, “He was like a John Wayne character. He was a captain in the Marines, a tough guy. I was scared of him.”

“I want to know how many of those guys in New York you need to support your operation here cause I honestly can’t figure out what they do. He says, ‘I’ll tell you what you should do. … You don’t have the balls to do what I’ll tell you to do. … Get rid of all of’em all tomorrow,'” he continued telling his story.

“I still was wondering, you know, maybe this guy Joe was a little crazy,” Icahn stated. “How could I get rid of 12 floors of people?”

“So he hired a group of consultants from Columbia University to find out what the people did. Three weeks and $250,000 later, they came back to Icahn and said, ‘We don’t know what they do either,'” the report from WJ said.

“Got rid of the whole twelve floors,” Icahn went on to say. “It was like out of a science fiction movie. They never existed.”

Elon Musk caught this clip and responded with a single word: “Exactly.”

While Musk was cracking wise, we all know this guy didn’t buy up all that stock to just sit back and bask in his billions.

It should go without saying, but Musk is fully planning to leave his own personal mark on Twitter.

“After becoming a member of the social media platform’s board of directors, the self-described free-speech absolutist amended his SEC filing to reflect that his interest in Twitter was no longer ‘passive’ but ‘active,'” the report said.

Twitter has become far, far too powerful in modern culture. It didn’t take folks long to get fed up with the company after all of the insane censorship, plus the comments from Parag Agrawal, the CEO, bragging about how Twitter can determine who can and can’t be heard.

“In a 2018 interview with MIT Technology Review, Twitter’s current CEO Parag Agrawal, who was 33-years-old at the time and serving as chief technology officer, said the company should ‘focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed,'” the report from the Western Journal detailed.

“Where our role is particularly emphasized is who can be heard… And so increasingly our role is moving towards how we recommend content… how we direct people’s attention,” he continued.

It wasn’t long after Agrawal took over as the new CEO that this quote was uncovered. Musk reacted to it at the time with a tweet of his own.

Hey, maybe one of the first people who will experience the wrath of Elon Musk will end up being Agrawal. It would be so satisfying to see the guy handed his pink slip.
