Trump Vows To End EV ‘Madness’

(Patriot Insider) – Former President Donald Trump, fighting four, yes, that’s right, four indictments, is not allowing the attempts by the deep state and other radical progressives to prevent him from continuing to campaign for the Republican Party presidential nomination. Trump rolled out a new promise to the auto industry, vowing to take on the “madness” of electric vehicles, which have presented significant dangers to consumers as well as worker security.

This is a prime example of what the left doesn’t seem to understand when it comes to Trump. The more garbage they throw at him, the harder they work to remove him from the 2024 playing field, the harder he campaigns and the more he looks like a total boss. All the effort they apply toward destroying this man is actually making him stronger and winning more hearts and minds to his platform. Crazy, right?

Kevin Haggerty, writer for BizPac Review, is reporting “The United Auto Workers are nearing a strike deadline and President Joe Biden’s green agenda has continued to chip away at the once-thriving free market. With Michigan once again expected to factor heavily in the 2024 presidential election, Trump petitioned voters to consider a future of ‘CHOICE’ as opposed to one where ‘CHINA WILL TAKE IT ALL…’”

“Through his preferred platform Truth Social, the GOP frontrunner offered a Labor Day message contending that the leadership of the UAW backing Biden’s EV schemes would only hurt the nation,” Haggerty wrote.

“The Great State of Michigan will not have an auto industry anymore if Crooked Joe Biden’s crazed concept of ‘all Electric Cars’ goes into effect,” Trump went on to say in a post on social media late Monday. “CHINA WILL TAKE IT ALL, 100%. United Auto Workers, VOTE FOR TRUMP. Get your leaders to ENDORSE ME, I WILL KEEP ALL OF THESE GREAT JOBS, AND BRING IN MANY MORE. CHOICE IN SCHOOLS, AND CHOICE IN CARS!!!”

Haggerty’s article mentioned that earlier in the day, Trump issued a call out to UAW President Shawn Fain for supporting the radical progressive regulation push while pretending he’s doing so in order to preserve the environment, despite the fact it could do some serious damage to the American auto industry.

“Shawn Fain, the respected President of the United Auto Workers, cannot even think about allowing ALL ELECTRIC CARS — THEY WILL ALL BE MADE IN CHINA, and the Auto Industry in America will cease to exist!” remarked the former president.

“There is already a giant ‘E GLUT,’ they don’t go far or long, are very expensive, and the consumer must be given a CHOICE,” he added. “Vote for TRUMP, and I will stop this Madness, IMMEDIATELY! Mexico & Canada LOVE Biden’s idiotic policy. SAVE MICHIGAN and the other Auto States. SAVE THE AMERICAN CONSUMER!!!”

In August, during one of President Biden’s many vacations, this one in particular was in Lake Tahoe, he received a massive wave of boos from the crowd as he discussed a possible strike by the almost 146,000 auto workers whose contract is set to expire on Sept. 14. Biden, speaking with reporters, said, “I’ve been talking to the UAW. Obviously, I’m concerned. I think that there should be a circumstance where the jobs that are being displaced and replaced with new jobs, the first choice should go to the UAW members who had the jobs, and the salary should be commensurate.”

Haggerty’s piece continued, “The incumbent’s overreach has targeted all sorts of American choices through Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency regulations that included efficiency requirements for gas stoves, gas furnaces, dishwashers and even ceiling fans. While the administration touted supposed benefits like $39 in savings over the lifespan of a fan, others were calling out the real hazards posed by forcing the market to suit an agenda.”

When Hurricane Idalia smashed into Florida, a number of accounts emerged of electric vehicles bursting into flames due to salt water compromising batteries. The same thing happened in 2022 when Hurricane Ian made landfall. Obviously, nothing was done to address this very dangerous issue.

In an interview with Fox Weather, Florida’s Chief Financial Officer and Fire Marshal, Jimmy Patronis noted that evacuees were actually placing their neighbors and homes in danger by not relocating their electric vehicles away from exposure to the storm surges.

“The best fire teams can do is keep water on the battery until the fuel burns out,” he stated during the interview. “If you’re evacuating and leaving an EV, or other lithium ion powered devices like scooters or golf carts in your garage, you’re creating a real fire threat for your home, your communities, and first responders. Take this threat seriously. If there’s even a small risk of your EV being impacted by storm surge, move it to higher ground before it’s too late.”
