(Patriot Insider) – And just like that, our nation is under the leadership of Obama 2.0.
Every issue that President Donald Trump ran on is about to be proven effective as the Biden administration reverses all the progress he made.
Open borders is at the top of the list—as well as protection for criminal illegal aliens who have proven themselves to have no respect for our laws or their fellow man.
On Monday, the White House confirmed that illegal aliens who are convicted of rape, assault, DUI, and drug-related charges will not be deported under President Joe Biden’s policies.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is gearing up to release a new set of guidelines that would lead to significantly fewer arrests and deportations.
On Biden’s first day in office, he set about legislating via executive action to completely dismantle the border security established by President Donald Trump as one of his many kept promises.
He ordered construction on a barrier wall to be halted, put a 100 stop on all deportations, and has apparently set about gutting the remaining infrastructure keeping our border region from descending into a lawless wasteland.
According to internal emails and memos obtained by The Washington Post, ICE is set to significantly diminish arrests and deportations.
This comes, as The Post noted, “as the Biden administration attempts to assert more control over an agency afforded wide latitude under President Donald Trump.”
“Generally, these convictions would not include drug based crimes (less serious offenses), simple assault, DUI, money laundering, property crimes, fraud, tax crimes, solicitation, or charges without convictions,” acting director of ICE, Tae Johnson, wrote to senior officials in a Thursday email detailing them on expected operations as the new guidelines are in the works.
The Post generously notes that the Biden administration is trying to “reorient” ICE, whose priorities broadly shift based on who is in the White House.
However, officials at the agency express frustration that such broad-sweeping measures could deprive them of their ability to apply their own discretion to the job as well as restrict their authority to arrest and deport criminals.
This week, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked Jen Psaki how it is in the interest of public safety to curb deportations of criminal aliens convicted of DUI and assault.
As is often the case when Psaki opens her mouth, she had no tangible answer.
