BREAKING: Retail Chain That Dumped Mike Lindell’s MyPillow Takes Uncool Action

(Patriot Insider) – Bed, Bath, & Beyond, which was one of the first companies to stop selling Mike Lindell’s MyPillow products due to his challenging of the 2020 presidential election results, is now cutting down on the use of air conditioning in its stores as a means of compensating for bad sales, according to a new report released by Bank of America.

According to WND, the nationwide retail chain’s decision back in January of 2021 to drop Lindell’s products was soon followed up by a boycott. During the later part of the month, shares for the company dropped like a rock, going down 36.4 percent, which is the biggest one-day loss the company has experienced since going public in the summer of 1992.

The company kicked off 2022 planning to shut down 37 stores in 19 states.

“Earlier this month, Walmart discontinued Lindell’s MyPillow product at its stores. In January, Lindell said one of the nation’s largest banks move to dump the nine businesses and charities he has founded in the wake of his success with MyPillow,” WND reported.

“A representative of Bed Bath & Beyond told CNN Business there has been no order from corporate to change store temperature guidelines. But analysts at Bank of America who have visited stores, the network said, ‘report mounting concerns, including labor hours that have been meaningfully cut, scaled back utilities, reduced store operating hours and canceled remodeling projects,'” the report continued.

According to analysts, even more stores are expected to close. CNN also pointed out that fire sales and price reductions are popping up everywhere, including some up to 50 percent off bedding and furniture products.

“An easing of COVID restrictions means a lower demand for home goods and supply chain problems have led to a lack of inventory to attract customers, they said. However, competitors, including Walmart and Target, have seen their traffic remain steady. Meanwhile, Bed Bath & Beyond is down 20% to 30% year-over-year,” WND’s report concluded.

So what’s the big takeaway from all of this?

Go woke, go broke.

All of the company’s financial troubles started happening when they made the decision to put politics ahead of profit. Allowing the beliefs of a CEO over the outcome of an election to be placed above making money opened the door for a boycott that truly did damage their bottom line, and it’s looking like they may not be able to recover.

The question they need to ask themselves right now is was it worth it?

  1. Woke people and companies can’t seem to grasp the fact that the majority of US citizens don’t care about their opinions and will move on to other sources of retail and services. Sure, everybody is entitled to their opinions and views but when it’s forced onto the public and used to punish other companies and suppliers who don’t adhere to their way of thinking will inevitably come back to hurt them as much or more than the ones they intend to shut down. Karma is a bitch.

  2. This could not have happened to a bigger pack of jackasses. I hope they go bankrupt which is what they deserve for being so stupid.

  3. Right on Jerry!!!! Totally agree. Also Mike is a good man!!! He did not deserve what they did to him.
To bad Walmart turned on him…they should not of done that. I don’t think Sam would have gone for
this!!! Leave it to the kid’s to muck it up so to speak!!! Chin up Mikey your a survivor !!!!

    • Sadly, the kids aren’t really running things at Wal-Mart now. They have a coterie of “woke” executives making these brain-dead decisions!

  4. I haven’t shopped at BBB since they took out My Pillow and made their political statement, I haven’t bought a Nike product in so many years and never will with their hypocritical BS, I cut up my Nordstrom credit card and sent it to them and stopped shopping there after they publicly came out stating they will no longer carry Ivanka Trump’s fashion line, I will never go to Disney and cancelled my Disney+ subscription and I stopped watching football when the players took a knee to our National Anthem. I don’t care what anyones political view is but when companies throw their political view out there publicly that’s when I will let you know mine and no longer buy your product or shop at your stores. My life hasn’t changed one bit not shopping at BBB or Nordstroms. My life has not changed one bit not wearing Nike products, never going to Disney again I could care less and my life certainly has not changed one bit not watching football. So all you wokester companies that think coming out publicly with your political views is so cool and hip KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE because the ones your pandering to probably don’t shop in your stores anyway.

    • Patti,

I couldn’t have said it any more clearly. I have stopped shopping at BBB and other stores that have decided to put their politics out front over profits. I totally think that these decisions are based on the fact that the IDIOT we have in the White House said he was going to put the fossil fuel companies out of business. Don’t you think it’s time to put this fossil out of business? No one in this administration has a clue how to make their “green” initiative sustainable. Just do something even though you have no plan whatsoever. It’s time for this country to go back to the country that Donald Trump handed over to Joe Biden.

      • A big part of the problem is that the COMMUNISTS have co-opted the teacher’s unions AND our public education system and universities and colleges. MOST are now controlled by “woke” Communists, and their students receive more woke/Communist indoctrination than they do “education.” So all those execs running these companies who have MBA degrees from those institutions have been BRAINWASHED to adhere to the “woke” agenda–and THAT is why they are making these BRAIN-DEAD decisions to pacify a TINY majority of the buying public while pissing off and LOSING a HUGE chunk of their market share! HINT to these idiots: Insulting and denigrating more than HALF of your potential customers is NOT a good business model!

    • You people have lost your minds if you think that whackadoodle was selling enough of his low quality overpriced pillows to make a difference in their bottom line. BB&B might be losing money because all their stuff is verpriced. The pillows aren’t making or breaking them.

      • Nobody claimed the pillows would make BBB a lot of money and dumping the product would hurt their bottom line. What it did do is run off a lot of customers. You think that doesn’t hurt their bottom line? You’re a narrow minded dimwit. Typical woke liberal, non thinking imbecile. Just like your fake president.

      • What makes you think that My Pillow products were the ONLY thing those customers were buying at BB&B, and are NO LONGER BUYING because of their idiotic “woke” ideology? As I pointed out in a previous post, insulting and dumping on more than half of your potential customers is NOT a good business model!

    • Betcha never wore Nike products to begin with, never went to Disney, never shopped at Nordstrom, and could take or leave BB&B. I’m sure you are right about none of that changing your life. What you didn’t say was you gave up Walmart. Did you, hmmmmmm? Or if that your mainstay? You say you don’t care what the views of the CEO of a company are but f they throw it out publicly, you’ll stop shopping there. Didn’t Mr. Sleepy himself do that? Or did you mean with views you don’t like so you’re going to boycott businesses you never frequented anyway.

    • Amen, me too……….they can take their liberal views and lack of standards or morals and put it where the sun doesn’t shine.

    • Patti, an EXCELLENT comment! I add that we will not attend movies where Leftist actors are invovled or were created by Leftist writers, Directors and Producers. I do not climb on ANY ridiculous bandwagon. I do NOT follow the dumbed-down crowd, and I revel in the finding of you and others who likewise defy the Leftist fools! Here is a limerick that I dedicate to you and to those with similar mental acuity:

      Here’s a secret I shall share.
It can be yours, if you dare!
Brainwashed heads are not so clean.
      Their owners be awfully mean!
Fight ‘em back ‘n don’t despair.

    • The cover fabric of each pillow is made from 100% cotton, and it feels light and soft to the touch. The pillows’ filling is made from 100% polyurethane foam which makes them shapeable, fluffable, and easy to fold.

  5. I find the hilarious. Go woke and go broke. How stupid can you get to destroy your bussiness over woke politics.

  6. Wait, Walmart stopped selling Lindell’s pillows, etc. I stopped buying from Bed, Bath and Beyond even though they had window stuff I loved. But Walmart too, come on. Well, maybe it’s time to slow down what I’m buying there as much I dearly love Walmart. What is their problem with Lindell, he’s a Christian, he literally built a brand new business from nothing, the ground up. So, he’s conservative and likes Trump, so that’s a reason to destroy his company and put his employees out of their jobs. Sounds like typical communist activity against companies who don’t bend to commies (democrats.) Well, BBB’s company is now dead, it is. I can go about saving money just by stop buying extras and just buying what I absolutely need while in Walmart, that way I can save money and make me stop using my credit card. We have Family Dollar, Family General and Dollar Tree in our area almost on every block in the three cities and towns around me, so. I hope Lindell can keep his company going, other companies and govt itself has no business picking and choosing which company survives by making political decisions against companies. However, in one way these democrat companies have been donating their buyer’s money to democrat organizations etc. hidden in their budgets for years. Now we know they have been doing it right along. Their donation records showed they were not donating to republican organizations, and if they did, not as much money as to democrats. This has been hidden to the public for years, now these businesses aren’t even afraid to donate out in the open.

    • That is why Trump was so great……….he exposed them all on both sides of the aisle. I think I hate RINOS more than DEMS……….

  7. Neveryouknowwho,
You know nothing about me but I sure as hell know everything I need to know about you. You’re a typical woke lib that goes around collecting all your woke lib buddies boycotting all the places that disagree with you but will comment on people that do the same on the opposite political side, it couldn’t be more obvious with your store of choice WALMART, which may I add I don’t shop at AND NEVER DID.
I’m sure you’re walking around in your Uyghurs made Nikes not giving a damn about the people who made them and how they are being treated, typical woke lib.
Again you know nothing about me but I know all I need to know about you, in typical lib fashion you know I never wore Nikes, never shopped at Nordstrom or went to Disney again assuming but unlike you I have convictions and stick to them something you on the other hand are lacking.
Have fun walking around Walmart in your Nike outfit

  8. I will never ever enter a Walmart store again even though I know it will probably cost me some money. I think it is worth it if I can put the screws to some stupid woke bastards. I also hate RINOs with a passion and will put the screws to them any way I can.

  9. If you really want to know which company is woke or not check out a site called 2nd vote. They rate hundreds of companies on different conservative and liberal points.
