Liberals In Meltdown Mode As Supreme Court Keeps Trump On Ballot

(Patriot Insider) – One of the most beautiful things about former President Donald Trump being given a huge win by the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday — they ruled unanimously that Colorado could not remove him from the GOP ballot — is seeing all of the deflated liberals moaning and groaning. The tears of the left can be a delightful treat, especially when they are attempting to strip the rights of the American people and alter elections in order to get the outcome they want, rather than allowing folks to choose for themselves. There were certainly a lot of hilarious, over-the-top responses following the announcement.

According to the Daily Caller, “The Supreme Court said that Congress alone had the power to enforce the ‘insurrection clause’ of the 14th Amendment in a 9-0 ruling that was unsigned. The Colorado Supreme Court decided that Trump was disqualified under the provisions of the 14th Amendment in a 4-3 ruling Dec. 19.”

“The Supreme Court has betrayed democracy,” former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann proclaimed on X. “Its members including Jackson, Kagan and Sotomayor have proved themselves inept at reading comprehension. And collectively the ‘court’ has shown itself to be corrupt and illegitimate. It must be dissolved.”

Olbermann has just revealed himself to be suffering from a full-blown case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Dissolve the Supreme Court? Really? It’s corrupt and illegitimate? How so? Because they didn’t make the decision you wanted? Could this guy sound any more like a petulant child?

“Supreme Court rules that an adjudicated insurrection can still be president, unless Congress acts,” MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner stated in a similar post. “Not unexpected, but more proof that our institutions of government are not up to the task of saving American democracy. Once again, it’s up to We The People.”

Anand Giridharadas, a contributor for MSNBC referred to the decision as “another corrupt Supreme Court ruling,” while also linking to an article that suggests a course of action to counteract “another round of despair bait.”

Have none of these people ever read the Constitution? Do they not understand basic, fundamental, originalist interpretations of our founding documents? How about possessing a little common sense? If you allow Trump to be booted off the primary ballot, it opens up a can of worms where every single candidate regardless of party will be treated in similar fashion. It’s chaos. You don’t need an Einstein level of intelligence to understand this. The left is so blinded by hate for Trump that they have checked what little common sense they have at the door.

Other leftists were not feeling as defeated, stating Trump will still lose at the ballot box.

“The Supreme Court will not prevent Donald Trump from becoming President again, but Gen Z will,” “progressive” YouTube host Luke Beasley declared in a post published on X.

“The Supreme Court has decided to keep Donald Trump on the Presidential ballot. We knew this was coming,” Democratic congressional candidate Eugene Vindman remarked. “Today’s Supreme Court decision won’t impact what will happen in November. We are going to defeat Donald Trump and take back the House from MAGA extremists.”

“What it doesn’t put aside is the 14th Amendment Section 3 is not just about courts, it’s not just about — you know about ballot — you election officials disqualifying someone. It’s also a rule of thumb for you and me,” former acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal commented during an interview with MSNBC. “I mean, one of the most important moments in our history after the Civil War, our nation came together and said, ‘Look, insurrectionist should not be on the ballot.’ The court today is not saying that Donald Trump is free of the charges of being an insurrectionist.”

“It may be that Congress hasn’t implemented legislation to enforce it, but you and I enforce the 14th Amendment too, by what we do at the ballot box,” Katyal continued.

If Trump becomes the nominee, I truly hope he crushes Biden in a landslide. Can you imagine the utter devastation such an outcome would be for the left? Time to pass out the adult coloring books and juice boxes.

  1. The Amnesty Act of 1898 was passed by Congress with the two-thirds majority required in both Houses of Congress. That law stated that “the disability imposed by section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States heretofore incurred is hereby removed. There was no language preserving any of the disqualifications for future cases.
The last sentence of the amendment allows Congress to pass a law removing the disqualification. Which they did.
