Judge Sets Trump Trial Date… And The Timing Could Impact The 2024 Election

(Patriot Insider) – A date has finally been set for former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, and wouldn’t you know, it just happens to fall right smack in the middle of primary season? I’m sure that is just a coincidence. It’s not like liberals are doing everything in their power to ensure Trump is not the Republican Party nominee to face off against President Joe Biden, right?

As per The Western Journal, New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan stated last Thursday that the criminal trial is scheduled to begin on March 25. The case revolves around accusations that Trump paid former porn star Stormy Daniels a total of $130,000 to keep quiet about an alleged affair the two engaged in just ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Along with this, Trump has pleaded not guilty to a total of 34 counts of falsifying business records.

“The trial will mark the first time an ex-president has faced criminal prosecution and comes at a pivotal time for Trump, the front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. It will start a few weeks after Super Tuesday and coincide with multiple primary elections, according to an NBC News calendar. The trial is expected to last about six weeks,” the report disclosed.

The Washington Post is also reporting that defense attorney Todd Blanche objected to the timeline presented during the hearing last Thursday.

“President Trump is going to now spend the next two months working on this trial instead of out on the campaign trail,” the attorney said to Judge Merchan. The judge, of course, couldn’t care less, waving off those concerns.

“This criminal case, brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, is one of four that Trump is juggling while attempting to campaign for president, and it is perhaps the weakest of them all. Still, Blanche and Trump rightly pointed out that this will mean he’s tied up in a courtroom at a crucial time in the run-up to the presidential election,” the WJ piece continued.

“Instead of being in South Carolina and other states campaigning, I’m stuck here. It’s an election interference case. … It’s a disgraceful situation,” Trump went on to say outside court after the hearing concluded.

“I’ll be here during the day and I’ll be campaigning during the night,” he remarked, showcasing his dedication to fighting the good fight in court, while also trying to get a second chance in the White House to make America great again.

“It’s a rigged state, it’s a rigged city. It’s a shame. What they ought to do is go out and take care of the violent crime and the migrant crime that’s destroying people and killing people,” Trump noted about the state and city he’s lived in for most of his life.

“There’s no telling what the outcome of the trial will be or how it will impact the Republican primary. It’s possible that watching this kangaroo court will cause Trump supporters to come out in full force in a show of solidarity. However, there’s also the chance that it will put off those who are understandably tired of the grind,” the article divulged.

One of the biggest concerns right now is what will happen if Trump is convicted in any of the criminal trials when it comes time for the general election in November. That will no doubt play a huge factor on who voters choose.

This is likely going to be one of the most stressful years Trump has had to deal with since entering politics. Let’s hope he stays strong under the weight of all this pressure.
