(Patriot Insider) – Dr. Phil McGraw, former television talk show host, recently made an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program where he described a recent trip he took down to the southern border we share with Mexico, calling what he witnessed an “insane” situation that left him “shocked.” You know, there are a lot of people going down to the border and coming back with the same story. Maybe, just maybe, our federal government should do something to bring the situation to an end?
As of now, GOP Texas Gov. Greg Abbott of the Lone Star State and President Biden have locked horns in a series of legal battles as the state seeks to find a way to shut down the influx of illegal aliens themselves since the government is refusing to do their duty to seal off the border and send those crossing into our country without permission back to their home countries.
According to the Daily Caller, McGraw took an opportunity during the interview to shred the Biden administration for their border policies, stating they have encouraged folks to cross into the United States. This, of course, has caused many of the illegals to put their lives — and the lives of their children — in danger as they attempt to work through razor wire and cross over the Rio Grande River.
“One of the most fundamental psychological principles is you don’t reward bad behavior,” McGraw said during his conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity. He then recalled the discussion he had with several Border Patrol agents during the trip.
“I wanted to talk to the guys heading this up,” McGraw commented. “I have to tell you, you talk about some impressive troops down there. These guys are fighting a morale battle, because they can’t get what they need. And I wanted to know what’s happening down here? What’s really going on? We hear this number, 6 million people have come across under the current administration. I talked to experts down there that say that number is a myth, that it’s closer to 13 million to 14 million that have come across.”
“I asked them straight up, what is it you need here?” the former talk show host continued. “And I was shocked to hear them say, we don’t need more money. We don’t need more resources. We don’t need more officers. We don’t need more legislation. We just need the laws that are on the books to be followed. We need to be allowed to do our job and we can get this under control right now.”
McGraw then stated that he noticed illegals tended to act differently with federal agencies such as the Border Patrol than they did with those who worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
“The interesting thing that shocked me, Sean, if they run into someone in a brown uniform, that’s a Texas Department of Public Safety border guard, they get arrested, they get put in jail, and they get returned,” McGraw told Hannity. “If they run into a green uniform, that is a federal, they get money and a court date that’s seven to 10 years down the road, and they get released into the country. So you see these groups coming across, and if they see a brown uniform, they hide. They see a green uniform, they run toward it. That to me is just insane.”
The sheer number of aliens who crossed into our country during the month of December 2023 is mind-blowing. As per the United States Customs and Border Protection agency there were 302,000 illegals that entered the nation through the U.S.-Mexico border. Already, in just the first two months of 2024, a total of 380,000 illegals have been encountered at the border.
As McGraw noted, this is complete and total insanity. It’s time to build the wall, enforce the law.
